Design Story

The Austrian designer Frank Rettenbacher, designed the Side Table Emil for the Italian manufacturer Zanotta. The table top of the side table is in the shape of a hexagon and is constructed from a very thin, 3 mm, steel and which thus gives the piece a special grace. The legs of the Zanotta side table have been treated, as with the table top, with a high gloss lacquer. Despite its delicate appearance the materials and construction principle make the Emil coffee table a very stable and reliable piece of furniture for any living area. The Italian manufacturer Zanotta was founded in 1954 and presents a portfolio mixing classics of Italian design together with new, specially commissioned objects. The company's production is located in Italy, and relies as far as is possible and practical on suppliers from the region.
