Philippe Bestenheider

Born in Sion, Switzerland, Philippe Bestenheider studied architecture at Zurich Polytechnic, graduating in 1998, whereupon he moved to the Domus Academy in Milan, obtaining his Master's degree in 2000. Bestenheider has collaborated with numerous architectural firms in Switzerland and the USA, and from 2001 to 2006 he served as senior designer in the Patricia Urquiola studio in Milan. In 2007, he finally opened his own studio for architecture and product design, and since then has been commuting back and forth between Switzerland and Milan. For his chair Nanook, which he designed for Moroso, the designer received the Italian innovation prize in 2010.
