Watn Blechby Bernhard Osann, 2013 — 216,00 €
One of the biggest annoyances in home furnishings are shelves which, when poorly fitted or when crafted from the wrong material, sag in the middle. Exploring this problem the designer Bernhard Osann developed the shelf Watn Blech for the Bavarian furniture manufacturer Nils Holger Moormann. Instead of a straight shelf, as one is used to, Watn Blech is with a narrow sheet of powder coated aluminium, which sags on purpose. The Moormann shelf is supported by two stainless steel wall brackets, flexes under load and thus stabilises itself. Thus Moormann offer with Watn Blech not only a clever and original comment on familiar shelving problems, but also a wall shelf that perfectly fulfills its function in any kitchen, bath or living room.
