Thonet S 40 Outdoor
For all who don't want to forego Thonet classics in the garden, on the balcony or on the terrace, the Thonet Outdoor Collection offers variations on some legendary Bauhaus furniture designs by Mart Stam in innovative, outdoor-suitable materials. The seat and back of the Thonet cantilever chair S 40, for example, are made of oiled solid wood slats that defy rain and will develop an individual patina over time. While the Thonet All Seasons Collection features modernist design classics by Marcel Breuer, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Mart Stam specially developed for use both indoors and outdoors. The coloured Thonet Protect surfaces of the tubular steel and the mesh fabric of the seats and backrests are UV-resistant and particularly durable. And as one would expect, the colours of the Thonet garden chairs weren't choosen at random, rather are based on the colour theory of the Bauhaus and, together with the colours of the mesh, offer numerous possible and equally pleasing combinations.
