Details
The Vladi table designed by the Austrian design trio EOOS for Walter Knoll principally impresses on account of its especially exciting material mix. A table top made of American walnut or solid wood with black textured lacquer floats atop a synthetic-string braid. A highly original and unusual sight. Hardly noticeable is that the table top and table base are connected by a rod, a rod which ensures the stability of the Walter Knoll table. The coarse mesh net brings a certain elegance to the side table and draws the viewers attention, but at the same time, Vladi has a lightness thanks to its inherent transparency. The company Walter Knoll can look back on a long company history. Wilhelm Knoll, father of Walter Knoll, founded his "Ledergeschäft" in Stuttgart in 1865 and devoted himself to the production of seating, before Walter Knoll and his brother took over the business in 1907. In 1925 Walter Knoll founded his own company, a company which with regard to the materials used distanced itself from that of his father. With the growing success of the furniture manufacturer, Walter Knoll has steadily grown and today the company is one of the leading producers of high-quality designer furniture.
