The Charles Ghost Stool is part of the famous Ghost Chairs collection created by the designer Philippe Starck for Italian manufacturer Kartell. Starck, born in Paris in 1949, has enjoyed a long, and successful, career as an interior designer and product designer and has designed numerous trendsetting products for the company Kartell, products which focus on Kartell's specialisation in the production of individual designer furniture made of plastic. The Charles Ghost is made of polycarbonate and is manufactured by one piece injection moulding. The distinctive feature of this designer chair is its transparency, an effect which appears to make it disappear into the room; thus other objects in the room are visible through the Charles Ghost stool, which brings a special, sophisticated, ambience to the locality.
