Located right next to the Postbahnhof, a trendsetting office hub in the heart of Friedrichshain, historic building fabric and modern architecture blend to form a unique ensemble. Spanning six floors and almost 16,000 m², the space has been transformed into a working environment for the consultancy sector that makes community, transformation and sustainability tangibly evident. The design concept is consistently focused on creating a harmonious interplay with the architecture. Particular emphasis was placed on sustainable materials and an authentic feel and effect of the materials. So an environment has been created that fosters a sense of identity, encourages interdisciplinary exchange and, at the same time, provides a range of quiet spaces for focused work.

Fitting out six floors in their entirety required high-level project management. The particular complexity lay in the combination of the large scale of the project and an ambitious schedule. Thanks to a precise logistics plan, the furniture was successfully installed in parallel with the final stages of the fit-out – without disrupting the ongoing trades or jeopardising the tight schedule.

The design implementation of the project followed a clear set of guidelines, with curated interior design and bespoke furnishings blending seamlessly to create a harmonious overall look. A central element of the concept was the distinct floor layout. Through the use of different colour codes, each of the six floors was given its own visual identity. This not only aids orientation but also creates different spatial atmospheres that emphasise the character of the respective work areas.

For the client BDA, four existing rooms were combined to form two meeting rooms measuring 50 and 80 sqm respectively. Here, the focus was particularly on a tripartite division of the areas into lounge, conference and bar areas. The realized room concept is a fusion of cosy retreats for quiet working or relaxing and of contemporary meeting rooms.
