In the heart of the vibrant Kreuzberg district financial services provider Ratepay has moved into new headquarters – an office that reflects the creative flair of the area in every way. Across four floors of a new building, workspaces have been created that combine functionality with a homely atmosphere. The design focuses on an appealing look and feel, while creating inviting spaces where carefully selected colours and wallpapers ensure a pleasant and inspiring working environment.
In close collaboration with grau-design, smow Berlin created an office that goes far beyond pure functionality: a place that fosters creativity, collaboration and well-being, while simultaneously reflecting Ratepay's innovative spirit. The foundation for this was a carefully conceived colour concept, complemented by high-quality materials and tailor-made furnishings. With the help of interactive 3D visualisation, the spaces could be brought to life during the planning process and precisely tailored to the company's requirements. The result is a contemporary workplace that motivates employees and captures the vibrant character of Kreuzberg.
The key task was to curate high-quality products that both reflect the planner's design vision and meet Ratepay's individual needs. This involved carefully striking a balance between aesthetics, functionality and compelling value for money. smow Berlin took on the responsibility of selecting furniture and furnishings that would underscore the contemporary, homely character of the new headquarters while being durable, practical and economically viable.
The planning process for Ratepay's new headquarters was based on a detailed, customised 3D visualisation that formed the basis for precisely implementing the client's design visions while achieving the desired functional and aesthetic goals. Combined with an individual colour scheme for each floor and a comprehensive selection of high-quality materials and wallpapers, this ensured that each room would be both inspiring and homely. Used as an interactive tool the visualisation enabled the spaces to be realistically experienced early on in the planning process and made adjustments as needed. This allowed any changes to be discussed and acted upon early, thereby ensuring the implementation was precisely tailored to Ratepay's requirements and wishes. This resulted in a contemporary, stylish, yet functional work environment that reflects the company's innovative character.
Exceptional interior design within the given budget was the premise of this office project for an EdTech-Startup in Berlin. The design concept, which would also work in metropolises such as London, brings a touch of international flair to the heart of Berlin and creates an inspiring working environment.
