Jason Miller: Brooklyn Museum of Art Young Designer Award 2010

One of the worst things about being out on the road is that there is much news to catch up on when you get back….

The news that Rui Alves a.k.a. My Own Super Studio had won the Red Dot: Best of the Best Award reached us just before things really hotted up ….. and news that another (smow)blog favourite had also been recognised was waiting for us on our return.

And so congratulations to Jason Miller who has been awarded Brooklyn Museum of Art’s 2010 “Young Designer Award”

We first came across Jason’s work at ICFF New York in 2009, with in particular his Spiral lounger, Tints table and Modo Chandelier just blowing us away.

And even tough Jason complained about a small joke we made at his expense, we still find his work excellent and the award more than deserved.

And with past winners of the Brooklyn Museum of Art “Young Designer Award” including Konstantin Grcic and Karim Rashid we hope that it is a good omen for his future career.

The award will be presented at a gala ceremony in New York on Thursday November 11th, and more details on Jason Miller can be found at www.millerstudio.us

Congratulations!
