That Jader Almeida, the designer of Euvira, is Brazilian isn't immediately clear, because the beautiful ClassiCon rocking chair with its mix of natural oak and hemp-coloured seat cord could just as easily be understood in terms of Scandinavian design tradition. The Euvira rocking chair presents a fascinating tension between lightness and solid steadfastness: the robust frame allows for stable seating while the translucent seat of cord brings a touch of transparency to the composition.
