With the J42 Chair the Danish manufacturer Hay re-issues one of Børge Mogensen's chair classics, a work which beautifully illustrates the designer's philosophy: clear proportions in the form of simple horizontal and vertical lines form a curved back and slightly sloping armrests, in addition to a timelessly beautiful look, allow for a pleasant comfort. As with Mogensen's J41, the J42 from Hay consists of a wide bentwood seat and a sturdy solid wood frame, which is available in a range of colours and woods.
