Markus Jehs and Jürgen Laub from Studio Jehs + Laub

The Stuttgart-based designer duo Jehs + Laub, consisting of Markus Jehs and Jürgen Laub, is one of the established names in international furniture design. The two designers met during their studies at the Schwäbisch Gmünd University of Art and Design. After graduating together, they founded their own studio in Stuttgart in 1994, which still serves as a creative workshop for design and innovation today.

The duo's designs are characterised by functionality, clarity and formal stringency, paired with an imaginative use of materials. Jehs + Laub combine a keen sense of nature, structure and proportion with aesthetic consistency and a deliberate nonchalance.

The studio works together with renowned manufacturers such as Cassina, Fritz Hansen, Herman Miller, Thonet, Wilkhahn and Stelton. For many years, they have enjoyed a particularly close partnership with Cor. Jehs + Laub have already designed numerous upholstered furniture and furnishing solutions for the company, which combine comfort, architectural clarity and homely elegance and are now one of the mainstays of the manufacturer's range.

With their international experience - including from joint projects in New York - and their many years of collaboration with leading brands, Jehs + Laub are shaping contemporary design.
