The Vitra Akari 16A ceiling light was designed by Isamu Noguchi in 1951 and is one of over 100 Akari Light Sculptures created by the Japanese-American artist and designer. The term "akari" is Japanese for brightness and light and so more than suitable for the soothing light-giving Akari series of table, floor or ceiling lamps made of Washi paper that Vitra produces today.
Important note:
Delivery of Vitra Akari lamps to France is unfortunately not possible due to the licensing law. However, you can order the lamps through us and collect the goods yourself from our warehouse in Leipzig or from one of our showrooms. Our customer service will contact you after receiving your order.
