Useful, sometimes shrill, always exceptional - such are the properties of the products of the German industrial designer Konstantin Grcic. And equally as unconventional is the portfolio of the furniture manufacturer Nils Holger Moormann. As such a cooperation of the two could logically only result in a product like ES. The shelf is not level, something which cannot be overlooked at first glance, in addition his angled shape is not rigid, but is mobile. Contrary to the usual effort to construct shelving systems as solid and immovable as possible, the urge to move is given free rein in Konstantin Grcic's design. What initially sounds crazy, is actually an ingenious design concept, because in spite of its natural tendency to wobble ES can be trusted to safely store all that is entrusted to it: no matter what position the legs find themselves in the shelves are always straight and level. Thus ES is not only unusual and decorative, but also an unexpected surprise for visitors and guests.
