Lizz Chair

The chair Lizz was designed by Piero Lissoni and Carlo Tamborini for the Italian manufacturer Kartell and as a multi-purpose chair is particularly suitable for use outdoors. Lizz is made of a coloured thermoplastic technopolymer and is produced by injection moulding. The material has particularly robust properties: is scratch-resistant, shock-proof and weather-resistant, and in addition the Kartell chair Lizz is stackable, a feature which adds to its functionality and ease of use. Characteristic of the Kartell Lizz chairs are the clear, minimalist design and unusual dimensions - with the wider seat and the rather low backrest the Kartell chair breaks with the classic proportions of a chair, thus becoming a genuine eye-catcher in residential and commercial sectors. The slightly inclined rear hind legs soften the strict impression given by the linear form of the chair. For over forty years the focus of the Italian manufacturer Kartell has been firmly placed on the production of contemporary designer furniture, largely though not exclusively, made of plastic, and in that time the company has established an enviable portfolio of products which are not only functional but also characterised by their individuality and strength of character.
