The Kaiser Idell 6631-P is the only Bauhaus suspension lamp from silversmith and designer Christian Dell. The name of the Bauhaus classic from the 1930s consists of the former producers 'Brothers Kaiser & Co' and the portmanteau 'Idell', which combines the words Idea and Dell. Since 2010 the Christian Dell lights have been produced by Danish designer furniture manufacturer Fritz Hansen.
