Kaiser Idell 6631-T Luxus Table Lamp

With the KAISER idell 6631 Luxury, a design for the German lamp manufacturer Gebr Kaiser & Co., the trained silversmith Christian Dell - and former head of the metal workshops at first Bauhaus Weimar and subsequently at the Frankfurt Städelschule - crated far more than a timeless table lamp; rather due to its characteristic line, functionality and choice of material, Dell's lamp quickly became a symbol of innovative engineering in the 1930s. In addition to the KAISER idell 6631 Luxury Gebr Kaiser & Co. released between the 1930s to the 1980s numerous other Christian Dell lamps such as the formally simpler KAISER idell 6556 T. The functional, harmonious desk lamps are still one of THE classic luminaries of that time. Today the KAISER idell lamp, as with the KAISER idell 6556-T are produced by the Danish furniture manufacturer Fritz Hansen in the, then, original colors. The shade of the hand- painted steel and brass Fritz Hansen lamp with polished chrome elements has a circumference of 21 cm, its total height is 43 cm.
