Javier Mariscal
Javier Mariscal is just one of many high-profile designers the Italian furniture manufacturer Magis have won for their collection of children's furniture: specifically, the children's chairs Alma and Julian, which with their simplified, borderline comic, language, is so characteristic of Javier Mariscal. The passion for comics has been the inspiration for the Spanish designer since his early youth, and to this day, it is a leitmotif of his work. In addition to a chair with Mickey Mouse ears, which is now part of the Musée National d'Art Moderne collection, Mariscal developed mascots For the Expo 2000 in Hanover and the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona. However, this is only a small part of the wide range of work that the designer has realized internationally as an illustrator, graphic designer, industrial designer, and developer of corporate designs during his 40 year career.
