The PH 2/1 pendant lamp from Louis Poulsen is based on the iconic three-shade system that Poul Henningsen developed back in 1925/26 for glare-free and harmonious light distribution. The design is characterised by mouth-blown, opal glass shades that create a soft, predominantly downward-directed light thanks to their reflective inner surface. Thanks to its compact proportions, the luminaire blends elegantly into a wide variety of room concepts as a timeless classic. The interplay of precise light control and aesthetic lightness makes this model a functional work of art of Danish modernism.
