With the new PH 3.5 and PH 5 table lamp Louis Poulsen revives and refreshes two original Poul Henningsen designs. The rich hues of the upper reflector of the table lamp were selected in 1928 by the designer himself and today appear more contemporary than ever. In contrast to the elegant top surface the underside of the reflector is painted white in order to achieve the perfect illumination: something to which Poul Henningsen always aspired. The lower 2 screens in white opal glass allow a glare-free, bright light, which is also suitable for task lighting. For the new versions the original material for the frame and foot had to be replaced: on account of new environmental standards the original burnished brass is no longer used, the silk matt brown copper with which Louis Poulsen have replaced it is however a more than fitting replacement.
