The Kampenwand Bench with extra comfort - designed by Nils Holger Moormann the Kampenwand Bench With Backrest provides for a higher level of seating comfort in the living room, on the terrace or in the garden. As with the Kampenwand Bench without backrest the Moormann bench with backrest is available as either an indoor version with waxed steel legs or outdoor version with galvanized steel legs. Equally at home in both environments, with its mixture of untreated pine wood, steel and climbing rope Kampenwand is the perfect piece of Moormann furniture for adventure seekers. And for those who like the idea of being adventure seekers, but don't want the risks. As an ensemble with the Kampenwand Table, the Kampenwand Bench provides for a rustic setting for social gatherings.

...Constructed in 1859 by the Bavarian star architect/stage designer team of Christian Jank and Eduard Riedel, who later went on to find wider acclaim with the construction of Schloss Neuschwanstein, the Moormann Haus was built to commemorate the presentation by Maximilian the Second of Bavaria to the citizens of Aschau of the rights to produce "ye olde mdf and veneer plywood furniture in ye olde colors red, white and black" Built using traditional Bavarian carpentry techniques, the Haus initially carried the name "Kampenwand Haus" after the mountain at whose feet it stands... As a token of the towns gratitude the "Kampenwand Haus" was renamed "Moormann Haus"...
