The Vitra bar stool Tabouret Haut by the French designer Jean Prouvé takes its inspiration from a very traditional, basic form: Four slightly slanted and downward tapering legs support a round seat which features a hole by way of a handle. The legs are supported by a steel tube which on the one hand serves as a static element and on the other as a footrest. Jean Prouvé's variant of the classic bar stool features the typical clean proportions, transparent design and very elegant tapered legs so familiar of his work. The Vitra bar stool is available in natural oak or dark oak.
