Marie Luise Stein completed her studies in Product and Communication Design at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Karlsruhe in 2022, and since then has devoted herself to developing her own projects; a portfolio encompassing a broad spectrum of furniture and product designs, including the Liesl shelving system, created in collaboration with designer furniture manufacturer Nils Holger Moormann.
Marie Luise Stein's design practice is characterised by a careful consideration of materiality and functionality. Her goal is to create products that are both durable and user-friendly, featuring well-thought-out manufacturing. In addition to her freelance work as a designer, Stein works in creative teams on projects in the areas of interior and exterior architecture, material development, and exhibition design.
Marie Luise Stein lives and works in Berlin, where she contributes her expertise to various collaborative projects and continually develops new design concepts.
