| Care | Fabric: For regular care vacuuming is sufficient. Remove fresh stains immediately with an absorbent, lint-free sponge. For difficult stains: Dry dirt can be gently brushed with a soft brush. Depending on the stain substance solvents may be necessary, in such cases consult a specialist (never use solvent-based cleaning products without specialist advice!). Leather: Leather furniture should be treated once or twice a year with a specialist leather care products. Superficial dirt can be removed with a damp cloth, taking care not soak the leather or exert excessive pressure. For cleaning we recommend special leather cleaners in either foam or liquid form. Please do not use the aggressive agents such as stain removers, turpentine, shoe polish, etc. |

The Egg Footstool was designed by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen and is the perfect complement to the designer's Egg Chair. In addition to the Series 7 Chair, the Egg Chair is one of the most famous furniture designs by the Danish architect and designer Arne Jacobsen. Originally created for the architect's SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen the Egg Chair was designed specifically for the entrance hall & lobby areas. Ahead of its time in terms of material and form the Jacobsen Egg Chair features a sturdy plastic shell which supports the foam upholstery, and thus utilises technology which was revolutionary when Jacobsen was developing his design in the course of the 1950s. Today the Egg Chair, and the complementing ottoman are produced by the Danish manufacturer Fritz Hansen and are universally regarded as genuine design classics. The Egg Chair and Egg Footstool are produced by Fritz Hansen and that is no random act: Arne Jacobsen had cooperated with Fritz Hansen since the 1930s and had developed numerous furniture designs which revolutionised the industry, including the globally popular Ant Chair. The Egg Footstool by Fritz Hansen is available in a range of textiles and colours, and brings an extra level of comfort to the classic Egg Chair.
