Gaga Dada 2: Objekte zwischen Kunst und Design, Galerie Zippenfenig at Nils Holger Moormann Salone München

...Presented during Munich Creative Business Week 2025, but not part of the official Munich Creative Business Week, MCBW, 2025 programme, which is cheeky; not that guerilla cheeky Nils Holger Moormann, man and company, are known, rightly celebrated, for, rather just plain cheeky, approaching rudeness cheeky... And that not only because Nils Holger Moormann, man and company, are amongst those from whom we've learned the most over the years, to whom we will always be grateful and whose developments we keenly follow, thus our querying of, disappointment at, the plain cheeky not guerilla cheeky of Gaga Dada 2's timing, nor only because Nils Holger Moormann, man and company, are very much associated with the early development of smow, without whom smow would be a very different beast today, but primarily on account of the subtitle, on account of the promise contained within the subtitle: Objekte zwischen Kunst und Design, Objects between Art and Design...

...knowledge & gestaltung" at Martin-Gropius-Bau, Berlin, Germany The development of architecture and design is in many respects as much one of developments in science and technology as it is one reflective of changing social conditions, economic realities or aesthetic discourse... The Museum for Communication Berlin presents Divine Golden Ingenious. The Golden Ratio as a Theory of Everything?

...the Museum for Communication Berlin aim to explore the question, and answer, in more detail... For the Museum for Communication Berlin it was therefore important that in order to produce an authentic and authoritative exhibition they present only objects where a direct connection to the Golden Ratio exists, something which wasn't always so simple, for as exhibition curator Katharina Schillinger explains, "objects aren't necessarily stamped with the fact that they have been created according to the principles of the Golden Ratio, rather it is something that was in the original idea or which played a role in the development, but which isn't always so immediately discernible in the final object, and that made finding appropriate examples very challenging" One of the better known, and best documented, examples of an applied use of the Golden Ratio is that of the Swiss architect Le Corbusier who crafted his famed Modulor system of measurement on the correlation of the Golden Ratio with the proportions of the human body, and thus, as justifiably as invariably, a goodly section of the Werkschau is given over to Le Corbusier and his work...

Kunsthochschule Berlin Weissensee - Rundgang 2016

...As East Berlin's Art and Design College the Kunsthochschule Berlin Weissensee was in many ways symbolic of East Germany's difficult relationship with Bauhaus and the legacy of inter-war functionalism... And so it came to pass that in 1950 the Dutch architect and designer Mart Stam was appointed Rector of the Kunsthochschule Berlin Weissensee, before departing in 1952 under conditions which couldn't exactly be termed as "friendly", even terming them "hostile" would underplay the nature of the relationship which had developed between Stam and the DDR authorities by late 1952...
