The swivel chair Rin by the Japanese designer Hiromichi Konno for the Danish furniture manufacturer Fritz Hansen reflects in its form language this fusion of the Asiatic and Scandinavian. The organically shaped seat shell with cut-outs is reminiscent of a bird's nest and according to Hiromichi Konno was inspired by the beauty and strength of a flower. Offering a high level of seating comfort the plastic shell sits atop a polished steel column and foot available in either polished aluminium or lacquered. Available in a range of colours, the Fritz Hansen Rin Chair allows for stylish, easy seating, can be used in any number of situations and ensures a colourful highlight in any space. Established by the carpenter Fritz Hansen in 1872 and today a global by-word for quality and innovation, the eponymous company has played an important role in the development of Danish furniture design and manufacturing and has cooperated with numerous designers, perhaps most notably with Arne Jacobsen.
