With the CH24 Wishbone Chair Birthday Edition from Carl Hansen & Søn, Hans J. Wegner's best-known design is given a unique expression in teak and Aniline leather tanned with olive extract. The iconic Y-Chair is equipped with an exclusive brass plaque engraved with, among other things, Hans J. Wegner's signature and date of birth as well as the year of publication. With this special edition, Carl Hansen & Søn once again honours Wegner, whose designs had a decisive influence on Danish design.

| Sustainability | Cradle to Cradle certification (leather) For its furniture Carl Hansen uses wood from predominantly Danish and sustainably forested forests. The oils and soaps used to treat the wood and, for example, the paper cord used for the CH24 also meet strict ecological sustainability criteria. The materials used are of biological origin and as such are also biodegradable. In addition, the lowest possible energy consumption is aimed for in all manufacturing processes. In addition, due to the high quality and the timeless design of the furniture, long-term use becomes a sustainability criterion. The tanning of the leather is made from a vegetable olive extract that is biodegradable. |
