The pendant lamp Knit-Wit was designed in 2017 by designer duo Iskos-Berlin for the Danish manufacturer Made by Hand and is based on a Chinese rice lamp, a centuries-old knitting technique which leaves no unsightly seams, albeit here it has been reinterpreted: a CNC-controlled 3D knitting process was applied and the knitting process thus brought into the 21st century. The feathered Knit-Wit proves that state-of-the-art technology and traditional craftsmanship are not mutually exclusive and brings a portion of warmth into every room.
