Bauhaus Dessau is celebrating its 100th anniversary! To mark the occassion the Rowac stool, the Bauhauslers' original seating furniture, will be released as a limited special edition and reduced to its basic substance: pure steel and a purist form. The functional design and clear formal language, which Walter Gropius deliberately incorporated into the furnishings of the new Bauhaus building in 1925, embodies the Bauhaus's timeless design philosophy—a must-have for all design enthusiasts.

| Manufacturing | The Rowac stool is a product that is connected to its homeland far beyond its name (Rowac stands for Robert Wagner Chemnitz): it is produced today in the Erzgebirge region just as it was 100 years ago. The PEFC-certified wood comes from local forests and is processed on-site by experienced woodturners. The sheet steel frame is also riveted, coated, and assembled in the Erzgebirge. |

The stool's seat is attached to the steel frame with special screws, allowing the various raw materials to be easily separated and recycled.
