Eames plastic side chair was produced in collaboration with Zenith Plastics for the Museum of Modern Art in New York's "Low-Cost Furniture" design competition and was the first industrially manufactured plastic chair.

  • The Eames Plastic Side Chairs from Vitra contain special additives which slow down the fading process caused by ultraviolet rays.
  • 4-Legged tubular steel base; available as chrome-plated or powder-coated.
  • Non-stackable
  • Available with glides for carpets or glides with felt pads for hard floor surfaces.
  • Seat height +2cm with full upholstery

Description

Eames Plastic Side Chair is a contemporary version of the legendary Fiberglass Chair. It was produced in collaboration with Zenith Plastics for the Museum of Modern Art in New York's Low-Cost Furniture Design Competition and was the first industrially manufactured plastic chair.
