Marcel Wanders (* 2 July 1963 in Boxtel/Netherlands), graduated in 1988 from the School
of the Arts, Arnhem. Marcel Wanders first attracted international attention in 1996 with
his "Knotted Chair" for Droog Design; and hasn't looked back since. In 2001 he
established his own Marcel Wanders studio and in 2004 became Art-director and co-owner of
the "Design Hotel" Lute Suites in Amsterdam. Marcel Wanders has cooperated with
some of Europe's most important manufacturers including B&B, Boffi and Kartell with whom
he created the polycarbonate stool Stone.
