Louis Poulsen Icons

The Louis Poulsen icons feature well-known lamp design classic and contemporary from Louis Poulsen. With excellent quality and unique design, these iconic lamps embody the Louis Poulsen brand, which has stood for first-class lamp design from Denmark for over 100 years.

Iconic Louis Poulsen lamps by Arne Jacobsen

The lighting designs by the Danish architect and designer Arne Jacobsen are represented among the Louis Poulsen icons with the AJ floor lamp and the AJ Oxford table lamp. Arne Jacobsen worked with Louis Poulsen in the 1950s and 1960s. As part of the interior design of his famous SAS Hotel in Copenhagen, Jacobsen designed the characteristic lampshade for the AJ floor, table and wall lamps, which are now among the best-known design classics from Louis Poulsen. The design of the iconic table lamp AJ Oxford was based on the architecture of St. Catherine's College in Oxford.

Iconic Louis Poulsen lamps by Poul Henningsen

The Louis Poulsen Icons lights include pendant, floor and table lamps by Poul Henningsen. The Danish architect and designer began working for Louis Poulsen in the 1920s with the vision of developing lamps with glare-free light. His innovative three-shade system became a trademark worldwide and was used in numerous iconic Louis Poulsen lamps. These include the PH 5 pendant lamp and the PH 80 floor lamp from the Louis Poulsen Icons series.
