The history of the Swiss company Feuerring began in 2004 when steel sculptor Andreas Reichlin decided to create a barbecue that would not need a conventional grill plate. The result of the design and manufacturing process was launched in 2009 as an object which uniquely combined function, aesthetics, statics, materiality and ecology and raised the conventional barbecue experience to a contemporary level. Thanks to its sculptural aesthetics, the Feuerring, a harmoniously shaped, seemingly one-piece shell, becomes the cosy and communicative centre of every outdoor area. Through natural oxidation processes, the steel develops a noble patina, which makes every Feuerring brazier absolutely unique and allows it to develop an unmistakable character over the years. In addition to the highest quality materials and craftsmanship, the company philosophy also includes the use of regional resources. The company has received both the Red Dot Design Award and the German Design Award several times for its innovative product designs.
